WWDC and my predictions

Being a hardcore Apple fan I look forward to any an every event that Apple holds. I also happen to do fairly well guessing what is to come from Apple, so I thought that I would predict what the Worldwide Developers Conference will preview from Apple.

The Big Day

So tomorrow, or Monday August 7, 2006 is the big day for Apple, they have not announced any new products in a while, so obviously there has been a lot of speculation. We have heard all sorts of rumors from the Apple speculation sites but some are just too farfetched.

With that said…

With all the speculation I can only see two definate Apple releases at the Worldwide Development Conference. Leopard will make an appearance for sure, I mean this is the development conference. Also I see Apple making the switch to Intel complete by ending the G5’s reign and bringing forth a Mac Pro, with the Intel Core 2 Duo. Finally, I could imagine seeing movie sales on iTunes, and I know everyone has been saying movie rentals, but Steve Jobs would just not allow rentals on iTunes.

Despite what others think I do not see an iPhone coming at this conference and certainly no upgrade to the iPod family.

Until tomorrow

Well whether I am right or wrong I can not wait to see what Apple releases at WWDC, and I am sure it will be awesome.

were you right or wrong?

I did pretty well. Leopard was demoed, but ships in the spring, the Mac Pro was released…but no movies on iTunes. I would say in the next month though we should see movies on itunes.

[...] Being a big fan of Apple, I have predicted what Steve will show the world at several Mac events, and if I do say so myself, I am not half bad at guessing. Now, keep in mind that I have no insider information at Apple, like ThinkSecret or AppleInsider claims to have. I make my predictions based only on the information I have gathered by being a big fan of Apple and noting their past patterns. [...]
