My birthday gifts are all in and my favorite part about having a fifth generation iPod is having the DLO Homedock. Now keep in mind that I chose this dock over the apple home dock, but I think I made a wise decision. After having it for a little over a week I’ve decided to share with you why it rocks.

The homedock makes the iPod look awesome, it stands it up and holds the remote. When the power is enabled the gray DLO logo glows green. Stylish in looks, but an awesome product as well.
Video is a pretty big deal to me, its what I eventually want to do, so pumping my iPod full of content is something that I have been doing since I got my iPod. I have mostly been using the dock for The Office, w
hich I download from the iTunes Music Store. I was worried about how the video would look, since you’re taking something made for a 2.5 inch screen and playing it on a 21 inch screen. But I have to say I am impressed…
The ease of use of the dock is something that i love about it. You just hook the iPod into the dock and control it with the DLO remote. You get a lot of options for such a small remote, another reason that I am impressed with this product. Its easy to use, you simply hook up the RCA plugs into your TV, enable your iPod to video out and your set to go. I haven’t used Apple’s media dock, but I can tell you that DLO does a great job with quality and pixelation.

The dock wasn’t cheap, but neither is Apple’s. I ordered mine from bestbuy.com for 99$, but I have seen them on Amazon for about 85. If you like watching video, like me, and carry around a lot of video on your iPod, I recommend looking into getting the DLO Homdock. It works great for me.
