newsvining it up

I’ve noticed in the past few months that my trips to Digg.com have been limited lately, due to the fact that the stories just aren’t what they used to be. Digg has just become so flooded with junk stories and battles between Mac and PC that it drives me crazy. So I began to look for a solution…

After searching for a while I stumbled across newsvine and before I could walk through their restricted gates I knew that it was going to be great. I wanted an invite badly, because I missed the news that Digg used to bring me.

After reading a post from cavemonkey50.com, I knew it was time to say goodbye to digg and hello to newsvine.

Today I finally got invited to newsvine and it wows me! The look and feel and ease of use make it the future of news on the internet. [And I like that its exclusive, because it keeps spammers out.]

I hope that it doesn’t eventually, like gmail, become flooded with people who don’t really appreciate it and were just invited. But for now its awesome.

So sorry Kevin Rose, I’ll still listen to you argue with Alex on diggnation, and it will still be my favorite podcast, but I think my days watching the diggspy are probably over.
